Наткнулась на Google-книги. Ввела в окно поиска слово kinesiology, и поиск выдал аж 971 книгу. Вот ссылка на 1-ю страницу результатов.

Abstract

Objective
A tenet of motion palpation theory is the ability to confirm postadjustive segmental end-feel improvement (EFI). Only one previous trial has evaluated the responsiveness of EFI; this was a study of the thoracic spine. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the responsiveness of postadjustive end-feel for evaluating improvement in putative segmental spinal motion restriction after spinal manipulative therapy (SMT) of the cervical spine.

Methods
A prospective, blinded, randomized placebo-controlled pilot trial was conducted with 20 symptomatic and 10 asymptomatic participants recruited from a chiropractic teaching clinic. The treatment group received SMT, and the control group received placebo detuned ultrasound. Responsiveness was evaluated as the etiologic fraction (% of cases with EFI attributable to SMT) and as the sensitivity and specificity of change.

Results
For the entire sample, the etiologic fraction was 63% (P = .002), sensitivity was 93%, and specificity was 67%. For symptomatic participants, a strong relationship appeared to exist between receiving SMT and EFI (etiologic fraction = 78%, P = .006; sensitivity = 90%; specificity = 80%). A strong relationship was not found for asymptomatic participants (etiologic fraction = 40%, P = .444; sensitivity = 100%; specificity = 40%), where EFI was recorded frequently, whether participants received SMT or detuned ultrasound.

Conclusion
The findings of this study showed that motion palpation of end-feel assessment appears to be a responsive postmanipulation assessment tool in the cervical spine for determining whether perceived motion restriction found before treatment improves after SMT. This observation may be limited to symptomatic participants.

En la Kinesiología, la Educación Física y en las artes del movimiento, especialmente en la danza, es de extraordinaria importancia la buena elongación muscular, como base indispensable del acondicionamiento básico Este METODO DE TENSO-ELONGACION pretende complementar las otras técnicas y métodos usados. Es analítico por lo tanto está especialmente indicado en músculos que han sufrido acortamientos por secuela de lesiones (desgarros), o aquellos grupos musculares que en una persona son especialmente rebeldes.
Algunos ejercicios son bastamente conocidos y se han incluido aquí adaptados a los conceptos neurofisiológicos en que se basa este Método: eso es lo novedoso. También es original la correcta participación de la compañera que efectúa la técnica, tanto en la forma de resistir la TENSION, como en la forma de efectuar la elongación (tomadas con ventaja mecánica, sin riesgo de lesionar, correcto uso de la fuerza y su peso, etc.).

Abstract
Locomotor control requires a spatiotemporal coordination of passive and active forces across the movement system. Both anticipatory and reactive strategies operate in locomotor control. Mammalian locomotion is based on a rhythmic, .pacemaker. activity of spinal stepping generators. Reflex modification of the gait cycle is task-, context- and especially phase-dependent. In spasticity, together with disturbed supraspinal control, the phase-dependent reflex modulation of the gait cycle is severely impaired and there is altered modulation and timing of muscle activation and relaxation during voluntary movement. There is also a poor correlation between EMG activity and tension development in
the spastic muscle. The tension increases without sufficient muscle activation and disconnection and dyscoordination between muscle activation, tension development and motor performance develops.
The pattern of muscle activation and the development of increased muscle tone in patients with spasticity may be dramatically different in active movement from that observed in clinical testing of the passive muscles. Strategies used in the functional treatment of spasticity should be aimed at training and activating residual motor function, suppression of pathological and unfavourable movement and postural patterns and preventing secondary complications. In the 1990s a number of new specific instrumental methods and technical equipment supporting gait rehabilitation in patients with CNS lesions were developed: rhythmic auditory stimulation and other types of rhythmic stimulation, partial
body support, usually with treadmill walking, complex orthotic support of bipedal locomotion, multichannel functional electrical stimulation, usually with programmable computer control, and advanced gait trainers. In therapy of spastic gait, the functional goals should be clearly determined from the kinesiological point of view of the impairment, and the impact on disability and handicap should be considered and a multidisciplinary approach is essential.
